Policies for Music Computer Lab Use
VIOLATIONS THAT RESULT IN DISCIPLINARY ACTION:
WPS Technology Acceptable Use Policy
- No food, candy, gum, or drink. Clear water bottles with tops are OK.
- Problems with a computer must be reported immediately to the teacher. Students must NEVER try to fix any computer. No swapping of mice or keyboards. No movement of equipment.
- You may save files to the Desktop, but at the end of the course, these files will be erased. You must save your files to your Google Drive, a portable flash drive, or to your own Dropbox.
- Stay on task during class. You may not be surfing the web, playing games, or checking email.
- Leave workstation neat and orderly, with chairs pushed in.
- Students are not allowed to install anything.
- Do not share your login with anyone.
- No downloading of program files to the computer or server.
- Do not alter desktop applications.
- Quit and close all applications and log off before you leave. Failure to do this may result in you losing all of your files, your account being compromised and/or your computer account being disabled.
- The Music Computer Lab is open after school and during ASC for appropriate student use. Please sign in and out when using the lab. See teacher for a pass during ASC.
- Adhere to all copyright laws.
VIOLATIONS THAT RESULT IN DISCIPLINARY ACTION:
- Computer use for inappropriate purposes (pornographic materials, lewd and sexually suggestive materials, dangerous or subversive materials, drug(s) related materials, games, etc.)
- Intentional sabotage of any machine.
- Sharing your login information or using someone else’s login to access a computer. Illegal copying of any software, music or copyright-protected materials.
- Intentionally trying to by-pass computer/network security.
